Sexual Ability

Many people don’t realise how much of an effect emotional stress can have on their sexual ability. Just as being unusually high-strung or down in the dumps can carry over into your workplace or effect your sleeping pattern, it can also severely impact your sex life.

There are two main categories of stress: Stress caused by sex, and stress from outside influences that then in turn harms your ability to perform well in bed. The first type of stress we’ll look at can be put in both of those categories. It’s sexual anxiety. Being particularly anxious right before or during sex, for whatever reason, can really lower your stamina and overall ability to perform. You being mentally anxious is the equivalent to the crew of a ship being full of nervousness. Their scrambling and general worry means they’re unable to function as they should, so the sailing of the ship is consequently all over the place – a nervous “wreck”, if you will.

Back to you: Inside your head, the anxiety and nerves make you unable to pick up the subtle signals your body is sending to your brain, this means controlling your body to the finest degree becomes much more difficult. The huge amount of anxiety-induced adrenaline being pumped through

your veins has the same effect on you as it has on an athlete just before a race. However, in your case, bursting out of the blocks at 100mph is not what you want, but unfortunately, it is what causes you to pass the finishing line way before you or the woman you’re with would like.
